It’s Ok to outgrow. It’s Ok to outgrow shoes, friends, therapists, doctors, mentors, lovers, communities, jobs, careers, callings, habits, routines, hobbies, religions, beliefs, sexualities, genders, values, styles, neighborhoods, cities, countries… It’s OK. Key word is growth! Can’t make your feet smaller or stay in shoes that are too tight. That pain will affect your everyday and everyone. Once this clicks, perhaps it’s best to let yourself feel gratitude, grief, joy, nostalgia and all the feels in between, give thanks and being kind while most importantly to yourself first — move, redefine, reevaluate and change. As I posted this first on my social media I realized one more thing. What if when we die, we’re just outgrowing our physical bodies?
